The planned detector estimates a noise floor, uses separate opening and closing thresholds, merges very short regions, and preserves speech padding. Its Natural, Balanced, and Tight presets are intended to make the trade-off visible rather than immediately deleting every detected gap.
A future workspace should display proposed cuts directly on the waveform, let each one be disabled, and crossfade approved joins when needed. That review step matters for interviews, lessons, voice notes, and any recording where comfortable pauses carry meaning.
Private browser handling
Aftermath reads a file you choose only in this browser tab. The shared workspace currently provides local file selection, playback, and task-specific planning; audio processing and export are not connected in this release.
