Are my files uploaded to a server?
File processing happens on your device. Selected files, previews, recordings, and downloads are not sent to an Aftermath processing server. Public-site analytics are separate; see the privacy policy.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Image and PDF tools work in modern mobile browsers within device memory limits. Video and audio codecs vary by browser. Screen recording requires display-capture support, which is generally available in desktop browsers; the recorder checks support before starting.
How do I check that a file meets an upload limit?
Use custom image resizing to set pixels, format, and a size ceiling. Review the output’s measured dimensions and bytes. Destination rules may differ, so keep the original and check the downloaded file before submitting it.
