The planned waveform uses compact min/max peaks rather than a point for every sample, so long recordings can remain responsive. A cut is intended to use a precise time selection, with only a very small zero-crossing adjustment when it avoids an audible click.
A compatible encoded packet-copy path is planned for simple cuts that align with packet boundaries and use no effects. Sample-accurate cutting, fades, gain changes, normalization, or a new format would require local decode and re-encode instead.
Private browser handling
Aftermath reads a file you choose only in this browser tab. The shared workspace currently provides local file selection, playback, and task-specific planning; audio processing and export are not connected in this release.
