The planned gain calculation follows the requested decibel change rather than treating volume as an arbitrary percentage. A lookahead limiter is intended to protect peaks around a −1 dB ceiling instead of using hard sample clipping.
If the requested increase would substantially limit peaks, the future result should report that gain reduction. Raising the level can make a recording easier to hear, but it cannot recreate detail that was absent in a quiet or noisy source.

Aftermath reads a file you choose only in this browser tab. The shared workspace currently provides local file selection, playback, and task-specific planning; audio processing and export are not connected in this release.
