Your images stay in your browser.
Aftermath File Fixer is a local-first image preparation website. We do not see, receive, upload, or save the image files you select in the tool. This notice explains the limited information involved in using the site and what changes if advertising is enabled.

What happens to your images
- JPG, PNG, and WebP files are decoded, resized, normalized, validated, previewed, and packaged in your browser.
- We do not receive, inspect, upload, or store selected image bytes, previews, rendered outputs, or ZIP files.
- The tool does not send selected image bytes to Firebase Hosting, an analytics service, an advertising provider, or any other third party.
- Your queue, previews, outputs, and ZIP files remain in the current browser session unless you download them. They can disappear when you close, refresh, clear, or otherwise reset that session.
- The tool has no user accounts, cloud image storage, server-side image processing, OCR, or image analytics.
Website delivery and technical data
The public site is delivered through Firebase Hosting. Like most web hosts and networks, the hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser and device details, requested page, and time of request. That information is separate from, and does not include, files you select in the tool.
We do not add our own analytics product or create accounts in this release. We do not use the tool to make decisions about you or to profile the contents of your images.
Cookies, local storage, and cache
In the no-ad configuration, the site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Selecting “I understand” on the privacy notice stores one small browser-local dismissal preference so that notice does not repeat. It contains no image data and is not sent to us.
The browser service worker can use Cache Storage for public site files, such as pages, styles, and illustrations, to improve repeat visits. It does not cache selected image files, previews, outputs, or ZIP files.
You can clear local preferences and cached site data through your browser settings. Clearing them may make the notice appear again or remove offline site files; it does not retrieve your images because we do not hold them.
Advertising and your choices
Advertising is optional and does not change how the image tool works. Reserved placements are limited to substantial guide content and the area after completed results; file selection, editing, validation, and download controls remain ad-free.
When advertising is not configured, a reserved placement may link to Valorem’s app collection. It opens only if you choose it. Valorem does not receive your selected image data through this link.
If Google AdSense is enabled, it is gated behind a configured certified consent platform. Google and its partners may then process advertising-related information and use cookies or similar storage as described in that consent message and Google’s notices. Selected image files, previews, outputs, and ZIP files are never sent to Google through this tool.
If the certified consent platform is not configured, fails to load, does not provide a usable consent signal, or you decline where that choice is offered, the image tool remains available and no ad request is made. You can reopen available ad choices with Change ad choices.
Messages you send us
If you email contact@aftermath.cc, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond, handle the request, and protect or operate the site where necessary. Please do not email sensitive images, credentials, financial information, or other sensitive material unless you choose to do so; the local tool does not require any of it.
We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Email providers and other service providers used to deliver communications may process message data under their own terms and privacy notices.
Your privacy requests
Depending on where you live and the information involved, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent. These rights do not apply to selected images because we do not receive or retain them. To make a request about correspondence, email us from the address involved and describe your request. We may need limited information to verify it and may be unable to fulfil a request where an exception or legal obligation applies. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator that applies to you.
Why limited personal data may be processed
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, technical delivery and security data is processed as needed to provide and protect the site; correspondence is processed to answer your request, take requested steps, keep necessary records, or comply with law; and non-essential advertising storage is used only under the consent controls that apply to it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
External services and transfers
Firebase Hosting, email providers, Google advertising services if enabled, and linked websites operate under their own terms and privacy notices. They may process technical or communications data in countries other than yours. We do not control their practices. Guide links and advertising links are provided for convenience, not as an endorsement or guarantee.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice when the site’s processing boundary, vendors, or advertising configuration changes. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. For privacy questions, contact contact@aftermath.cc.
