How to check your file

Use the linked Protean PAN photo and signature scan specification for the service you are actually submitting through, then enter its measurable limits here. The checker compares one local asset's bytes, exact dimensions, and detected format and explains any difference. It does not submit a PAN application, affiliate Aftermath with Protean or a government portal, inspect signature authenticity, or guarantee that another PAN service uses the same rules.

Supported use

Before you start

  • Protean guidance is not assumed to be identical across every PAN application channel or future provider workflow.
  • The tool cannot assess signature authenticity, image content, form correctness, identity evidence, payment, or portal acceptance.

Browser support and permissions

  • Modern browser with JavaScript, a supported image decoder, and enough memory for the selected set.
  • No camera, microphone, or screen permission is needed.

Choose the right settings

  • Choose the exact PAN provider and asset type before entering the displayed photo or signature rules.
  • Use /signature-resizer only to create a neutral fitted signature copy; it does not replace PAN-specific validation.
  • After a technical fix in /custom, compare the new output again and still follow the active portal instructions.

A PAN service asks for a scan, so the user enters the current service-specific photo or signature values before checking it.

Starting facts

  • Different PAN service paths may publish different instructions.
  • The exact current service remains authoritative.

Observed operation: Compare the local image's bytes, pixels and MIME format with only the measurable values entered from that service.

Review the result: Use warnings to identify missing rules and return to the live PAN service before relying on the prepared copy.

What you can do

Compare PAN photo or signature scan properties with the current rules for the exact PAN service being used.

If it does not work

  • Applying photo dimensions to a signature scan, or signature limits to a photograph, yields the wrong comparison.
  • Rules copied from a different PAN service can conflict with the destination currently handling the application.
  • Incomplete entries stay warnings and measurable byte, pixel, or format differences remain explicit failures.

Privacy boundary

Selected image bytes and entered rule values stay in the current browser session and are not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.
