Check GATE photo and signature requirements.

This route is a checker, not an automatic resizer. Set the current GATE portal rules for each asset, inspect each local file, and use the linked image workspace only when a measured property needs changing.

What this workspace does

Separate, clearly named photo and signature checks.

Use it accurately

This independent tool is not affiliated with GATE or its organising institute; always use the active official information brochure.

Private browser processing

Selected files are processed in the current browser session. Aftermath has no account, cloud file storage, or server-side file-processing job.

How to check your file

Use this page with the linked GATE 2027 photograph and signature requirements open. Enter the applicable asset's KB range, exact pixels when stated, and allowed format, then check that photo or signature locally. The report explains measurable differences and links to the image fixer. It cannot decide whether the photograph, background, face, or signature content satisfies GATE, and it is not affiliated with the organising institute.

GATE 2027 reference requirements

Both files must be JPEG/JPG. The table shows the official ranges; these are not exact-dimension presets.

AssetMinimum pixels (width × height)Maximum pixels (width × height)Width / heightPublished file size
Photograph200 × 260530 × 6900.66–0.895–600 kB
Signature250 × 80580 × 1802.75–3.753–300 kB

This checker compares only the rules you enter. Its KB controls use 1 KB = 1,024 bytes; the official page does not specify a byte multiplier. Check boundary-sized files in the application portal.

Review the photograph’s white background and 60–70% face coverage, and the signature’s black or dark-blue ink and 70–80% coverage yourself. A file check does not confirm application acceptance.

Official GATE 2027 photograph and signature requirements

What to choose and what you get

What to choose

  • one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP assets and the applicable rule values

Result

  • a measured local comparison with warnings for missing requirements

Supported use

  • One GATE photograph or signature measured against a rule card entered from the official 2026 source linked on the page.
  • Independent byte-size, exact-canvas, and MIME-format findings with a clear incomplete state for omitted constraints.

Before you start

  • The same entered values are not assumed to apply to both photograph and signature; each asset must use its own stated rules.
  • The checker cannot evaluate face visibility, background quality, signature strokes, candidate identity, or GOAPS acceptance.

Supported formats

  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP.
  • Output formats: HTML report.

Browser support and permissions

  • Modern browser with JavaScript, a supported image decoder, and enough memory for the selected set.
  • No camera, microphone, or screen permission is needed.

Choose the right settings

  • Select the photograph or signature rule from the active GATE source before entering any number.
  • Use /signature-resizer only as a neutral starter canvas, not as a replacement for this GATE rule check.
  • Open /custom to correct a measurable mismatch and return here to validate the separate result.

Worked example

A GATE applicant transcribes the current photograph and signature requirements before checking each matching local file.

Starting facts

  • The official GATE requirement page is linked for review.
  • Photograph and signature rules are entered separately.

Observed operation: Measure decoded dimensions, bytes and MIME format against the values copied from the applicable current requirement.

Review the result: Resolve every mismatch or missing-value warning and compare the finished asset with the live official instructions again.

Boundary: The local comparison cannot certify identity, visible content, application eligibility or final acceptance by GATE.

What you can do

Validate one GATE 2027 photograph or signature against measurable values transcribed from the linked official requirements.

If it does not work

  • Checking a signature with photograph limits, or the reverse, produces a misleading rule card even though measurements are accurate.
  • A changed GATE notice can supersede the source values a user previously entered.
  • Missing dimensions or byte bounds remain warnings; out-of-range bytes, pixels, or format remain explicit failures.

Things to know

  • External requirements can change; compare the result with the current official source before submitting it.

Privacy boundary

Selected image bytes and entered rule values stay in the current browser session and are not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.

What this tool verifies

Checks the displayed limits and reports or creates a measured local comparison with warnings for missing requirements from one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP assets and the applicable rule values.

Check before sharing

A measured pass checks the entered file rules; it does not guarantee acceptance by the external destination.

Checks represented by this receipt

  • local file boundary: verified
  • image measurement: verified
  • validator transparency: verified

Limitation: The local comparison cannot certify identity, visible content, application eligibility or final acceptance by GATE.
