How to check your file

Open the official NEET resources for the active admission cycle, copy the applicable photo or signature requirement into the rule card, and compare one local file's bytes, pixels, and format. This route does not hide dimensions or KB values in a preset, and missing entries remain warnings. The result cannot judge the candidate's appearance, background, document context, or whether the NEET portal will accept the upload.

Before you start

  • The route does not automatically extract or prefill NEET rules from the bulletin and does not resize the selected file.
  • A technical pass cannot verify subject identity, pose, background, image recency, form data, or portal approval.

Browser support and permissions

Choose the right settings

  • Use this route only for a NEET photo or signature after checking the official NEET resources for the active cycle.

  • Follow a failed measurable check to /custom, then recheck the newly generated file before portal upload.

Worked example

A candidate copies the current NEET bulletin values into the rule card before measuring a photograph and signature.

Starting facts

Observed operation: Enter each current byte, pixel and format value, then validate the matching local asset without uploading it to Aftermath.

Review the result: Review every measured comparison and return to the official bulletin if a required value was omitted or is ambiguous.

If it does not work

  • Using values from an earlier admission cycle can make an otherwise accurate local comparison irrelevant.
  • Leaving a bulletin requirement blank produces an incomplete warning rather than a false pass.
  • A file whose decoded pixels, bytes, or MIME type differ from the entered NEET rule is reported as needing a fix.
