Batch scanning is limited by browser memory. Native detection or the lazy local compatibility decoder handles each selected image; no file leaves this browser.
Private browser processing
Selected files are processed in the current browser session. Aftermath has no account, cloud file storage, or server-side file-processing job.
What this tool checks
Use this route when several image files may contain QR codes. Choose or drop multiple browser-decodable images, then Aftermath scans them one by one and returns source-labelled decoded values with reported QR format and safety notes. It does not scan PDF pages or broaden detection to the general barcode format set. Use the single-image or screenshot route when only one source needs review.

Before you start

- The batch reader does not combine, export, or authenticate decoded values.

Browser support and permissions
- Modern browser with JavaScript and a browser-decodable image; native detection or the bundled local compatibility decoder may be used.
- No camera, microphone, or screen permission is needed.

Worked example
Ten labelled event images may each contain a QR code and their decoded values need source filenames kept distinct.
Starting facts
- The images are selected together for one local run.
- Some sources may have no readable code or multiple candidates.
Observed operation: Scan each browser-decodable image, retain source labels and display every decoded QR value with its reported format.
Review the result: Review failures and each source-to-value association before copying any payload into another system.
Boundary: Batch decoding cannot prove completeness, payload safety or that a detected code belongs to the intended source context.

Choose another tool when

- Batch results do not authenticate sources, destinations, or duplicated real-world codes.
If it does not work
- One or more images cannot be decoded or contain no detectable QR code.
- The selected set exceeds the bundled file-count, file-size, or browser-memory boundary.
- Small, blurred, damaged, cropped, or low-contrast codes are not detected.
Things to know
- Each selected image is scanned independently and may return no result or multiple results.
- The browser retains only the bounded selected set supported by the bundled workspace.
- Decoded links are never opened automatically and still require source review.
Privacy boundary
Selected images and decoded values stay in the current browser session and are not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.
