What this workspace does
A separate image download without the original readable metadata or GPS fields.
Image Inspector · browser local
Choose an image, inspect the fields it exposes, and export a new local copy with its readable metadata—including GPS location fields—removed. Your original stays untouched.

The export is re-encoded locally. It can change format-specific ancillary data, including an embedded color profile. Review the copy before sharing because visible details can still reveal a location.
Selected files are processed in the current browser session. Aftermath has no account, cloud file storage, or server-side file-processing job.
Create a separate image copy with readable EXIF and GPS fields removed when you want to reduce metadata exposure before sharing. The browser checks the selected JPG, PNG, or WebP locally and keeps the original unchanged in this tab. Removing readable metadata does not remove visible identifying details or guarantee anonymity in every image format or destination.
A phone photo will be shared publicly and its readable camera and GPS fields should be removed from a separate copy.
Observed operation: Re-encode the image locally into a new copy, then inspect the output for the readable EXIF and GPS fields this route checks.
Review the result: Compare the source and downloaded copy visually and confirm the checked metadata fields are absent before sharing it.
Boundary: Metadata cleanup does not redact visible information or prove that every proprietary metadata block has been removed.
The selected image stays in the current browser session and is not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.
