What this workspace does
A simplified ratio and useful closest-format comparisons.
Image Inspector · browser local
Open an image to reduce its width and height to a ratio, then compare that ratio with common square, portrait, landscape, video, and print canvases.

A simplified ratio and useful closest-format comparisons.
A close ratio can still need a crop or padding; use the image fixer for the final canvas.
Selected files are processed in the current browser session. Aftermath has no account, cloud file storage, or server-side file-processing job.
Find an image's aspect ratio and compare it with nearby canvas ratios before you crop, fit, pad, or resize a local file. The browser reports the ratio from the decoded pixel dimensions and leaves the source unchanged. A close ratio comparison is a planning aid, not proof that an external platform will accept the finished asset.
A 4032 × 3024 photograph needs comparison with 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 canvases before cropping.
Observed operation: Calculate and simplify the exact ratio, then compare its crop difference with nearby common canvas ratios.
Review the result: Choose the closest intentional destination ratio and inspect how much edge content a later crop would remove.
Boundary: A close mathematical ratio does not choose the composition, focal point or platform requirement for the user.
The selected image stays in the current browser session and is not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.
Checks the displayed limits and reports or creates a local aspect-ratio result and closest canvas comparisons from one supported local image.
A local measurement or export does not guarantee acceptance by an external destination.
