Questions people ask

Clear answers and limits

Does the typing test upload what I type?

No. The prompt, input comparison, and score calculation run in the current page. Optional history stores only aggregate scores, not the text you typed.

Why did the test end when I changed tabs?

Hidden tabs can be throttled. The implementation ends the run rather than reporting a misleading time.

What is the difference between raw and net WPM?

Raw WPM counts every typed character. Net WPM counts only correctly positioned characters, so it falls when errors accumulate.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes, but on-screen keyboard behavior differs from a physical keyboard. Compare mobile results only with similar mobile sessions.

Is the result suitable for an employment certificate?

No. It is a self-service browser measurement without identity verification or supervised testing.
