Custom Image Resizer · local controls

Resize images to exact pixels or KB

Set the size, file limit, and format. Your images stay on this device.

What this tool can set

Use explicit values for width, height, KB limits, JPEG, PNG, or WebP output, crop-to-fill, padding, scale-down-only, stretch, and focal positioning. The rendered file is measured locally before download.

Destination-specific image tools

Start with a real destination guide when its documented rules matter. Store requirements can change; confirm the live source before submission.

Aftermath also has private browser PDF tools for combining files in a chosen order, splitting selected pages, or adding new text and freehand drawing overlays.

How to use this tool

Resize one or more images to exact pixel dimensions, a maximum file size, or both. Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP files, set shared width and height or a KB ceiling, then choose crop or padding to preserve proportions. Review the actual output dimensions and bytes before downloading; the tool reports when the requested limits cannot all be met.

What to choose and what you get

What to choose

  • one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP images plus the displayed shared pixel, byte, format, fit, crop, and focal-point settings

Result

  • separate processed images and measured local result receipts

Supported use

  • Verified JPG, PNG, and WebP inputs with independently editable pixel, byte, format, fit, anchor, focal-point, rotation, flip, background, quality, and resampling controls.
  • Crop, fit with padding, scale-down-only, and warned stretch workflows whose encoded result is measured before download.

Before you start

  • Does not infer application, examination, social-network, or store requirements from a filename or destination name.
  • Does not accept SVG, GIF, or AVIF in the image processing queue, and cannot guarantee external submission approval.

Supported formats

  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP.
  • Output formats: JPG, PNG, WebP.

Browser support and permissions

  • Modern browser with JavaScript, a supported image decoder, and enough memory for the selected image.
  • No camera, microphone, or screen permission is needed.

Choose the right settings

  • Choose this workspace when one result must satisfy a combination of pixel, byte, format, crop, padding, or focal-point constraints.
  • Choose /resize-image-to-exact-kb for a configurable file-size ceiling without fixed dimensions, or /resize-image-pixels when width and height are the primary requirement.
  • Choose a named destination preset only when its visible starter canvas and source guidance match the real destination.

Worked example

A portal needs a 1200 × 1200 JPEG below 300 KB, but the portrait source should not be stretched.

Starting facts

  • The source is a 3024 × 4032 portrait JPG.
  • The required result is square and has a separate byte ceiling.

Observed operation: Choose crop fit, place the focal point on the face, set JPEG output and the 300 KB maximum, then run the local encoder.

Review the result: Confirm the receipt reports 1200 × 1200 pixels, JPEG format and actual bytes below the entered ceiling before downloading.

Boundary: The measured result cannot determine whether the portal accepts the subject, background, identity or account submission.

What you can do

Configure shared image settings for one or more local JPG, PNG, or WebP files.

If it does not work

  • A file is skipped when its JPG, PNG, or WebP extension, declared MIME type, and byte signature do not form a supported processor input.
  • A fixed pixel canvas can remain above an entered byte ceiling because dimension reduction is disabled when width or height is required.
  • JPEG cannot retain a transparent background, and unsafe canvas dimensions or a full local batch stop processing with an explicit message.

Things to know

  • Review the result on the intended device before relying on it.

Privacy boundary

The selected image stays in the current browser session and is not sent to an Aftermath processing service. How local processing is verified.

What this tool verifies

Checks the displayed limits and reports or creates separate processed images and measured local result receipts from one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP images plus the displayed shared pixel, byte, format, fit, crop, and focal-point settings.

Check before sharing

A local measurement or export does not guarantee acceptance by an external destination.
