A signature often needs a predictable canvas more than aggressive compression. Use the starter canvas, then adjust dimensions or background to match the destination form.
Signatures need clean edges and predictable padding
A signature image is often placed inside a form field rather than displayed edge to edge. Fit with padding keeps the full mark visible, while a transparent PNG avoids introducing a white rectangle into a document that already has its own background.
The starter canvas is a starting point, not a legal requirement
Different portals specify different signature dimensions and byte limits. The preset provides a compact 600 × 200 canvas and a 200 KB ceiling, but the destination’s instructions remain authoritative. Replace either value in the controls when the form says otherwise.
Questions people ask
Can I remove the paper background?
The MVP can preserve transparency when the source already has it or when you use a transparent output canvas. It does not perform background removal or OCR.
Why is the result marked warning?
Warnings can indicate crop, enlargement, or a format tradeoff. They are explanations to review, not hidden edits.
