Requirement guide

Resize Mac App Store screenshots

Mac screenshots require a desktop source that represents the Mac interface. Aftermath can create the canvas, but it will warn when the source is not a genuine match.

Mac screenshots need a Mac source

Apple lists several 16:10 Mac screenshot sizes, including 2560 × 1600. The preset creates that exact canvas and uses fit with padding so a smaller source is not silently stretched into a desktop interface.

Treat the output as a file check

A correctly sized PNG is not proof that the screenshot represents the Mac version of an app. Use the warning messages to catch softness and aspect-ratio tradeoffs, then verify the destination’s accepted size and source authenticity before submission.

Questions people ask

What Mac sizes does Apple accept?

Apple’s current reference lists multiple 16:10 choices. This tool starts with 2560 × 1600 and links to the official list.

Why does the tool warn about a mobile source?

Padding or scaling a mobile capture does not make it a genuine Mac screenshot. The warning protects against a misleading submission.
