Google Play feature graphics can appear in several promotional surfaces, so artwork near the edges may not stay visible in every placement. Use crop to fill only when the focal area is deliberate, and keep logos, faces, and essential text inside a generous center-safe region.

JPEG or 24-bit PNG is a destination choice

Google’s current preview-asset guidance requires 1024 × 500 pixels and accepts JPEG or 24-bit PNG for a feature graphic. The preset starts with JPEG for compact output, but the format selector lets you choose PNG when the artwork needs it.
