Requirement guide

Resize a YouTube thumbnail

Use the edge-safe preview to keep title text and faces clear after the thumbnail is shown at smaller sizes.

Make the thumbnail readable before it is reduced

A 1280 × 720 canvas gives a 16:9 composition, but viewers often see a much smaller preview. Keep faces, product edges, and large text away from the crop boundaries, and use the anchor to protect the important side of the image.

Use JPEG for a compact publishing asset

The preset starts with JPEG because photographs and screenshots with no transparency usually benefit from a compact output. If your artwork needs a different format, change it deliberately and inspect the measured result.

Questions people ask

Can I batch thumbnails?

Yes. Add the files in sequence, adjust the global canvas, make file-only anchor changes where needed, and download the ordered ZIP.

Does the tool add text or branding?

No. It prepares the image; it does not perform graphic design or AI editing.
