A suggestion, not an irreversible decision

A mostly white low-resolution preview can indicate a blank scan page, but it can also miss faint marks, tiny text, form fields, or intentional sparse content. The detector therefore requires your page-by-page confirmation before removing anything from a new output copy.

Keep the original, review the export

Aftermath never deletes your source PDF. Selected pages are removed only from a new browser-local download. Signed, encrypted, and interactive-form PDFs are rejected to avoid unsafe rewrites.

Questions people ask

Does the detector delete pages automatically?

No. It marks probably blank pages for review. You choose exactly which pages to remove before a separate download is created.

Can it miss faint content?

Yes. The detector intentionally uses a low-resolution visual estimate, so faint marks, light text, or sparse layouts need your review.

Are pages rendered on a server?

No. Page previews and the final PDF copy are created in the current browser tab.
