Yes. Image, PDF, video, audio, and browser tools are free to use without an account. Choose a task to see its supported formats and browser requirements.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

File processing happens on your device. Selected files, previews, recordings, and downloads are not sent to an Aftermath processing server. Public-site analytics are separate; see [the privacy policy](https://aftermath.cc/privacy).

Can I use these tools on my phone?

Image and PDF tools work in modern mobile browsers within device memory limits. Video and audio codecs vary by browser. Screen recording requires display-capture support, which is generally available in desktop browsers; the recorder checks support before starting.

How do I check that a file meets an upload limit?

Use [custom image resizing](https://aftermath.cc/custom) to set pixels, format, and a size ceiling. Review the output’s measured dimensions and bytes. Destination rules may differ, so keep the original and check the downloaded file before submitting it.

Can I save tools for my next visit?

Use the star beside a tool to save a shortcut on this device. Saved tool IDs stay in this browser’s local storage; files and search text are never stored with them. Remove a star or clear saved tools at any time.
