How Aftermath guides are authored and reviewed

Aftermath File Fixer is a Valorem-operated product. Aftermath Guides are published with the byline Gal Itach, Valorem. This page describes that limited public authorship and the review process for visible tool behaviour, source links, and corrections; it does not claim independent certification, professional advice, or third-party endorsement.

What the reviewed release checks

These are bounded statements about the current application release. Internal test files and reproduction records remain private; the public page shows the claim, reviewed scope, limitation, and review date.

  • Selected file data is processed locally; the reviewed processing boundary has no browser upload or real-time network primitive. Scope: The reviewed boundary covers ordinary image, PDF, audio, video, scanner, and SVG processing modules. Limit: It does not cover browser extensions, a compromised browser, or future code that has not passed the same release review. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Untrusted raster and SVG inputs are checked before preview, and active or external SVG content is rejected or removed before rendering. Scope: The reviewed checks cover signature agreement, raster/SVG separation, request-capable references, active SVG elements, and complexity limits. Limit: A safe local preview does not guarantee identical rendering in every browser, font environment, or downstream SVG engine. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Image requirement results use measured pixels and bytes, and missing destination constraints remain warnings rather than measured passes. Scope: The reviewed behavior covers exact pixel, byte, format, and no-constraints states used by image inspectors and validators. Limit: Measured properties cannot decide identity, visible content, eligibility, account state, or an external destination’s private checks. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Supported PDF operations create a separate document and reopen or inspect its page structure instead of assuming the output is sound. Scope: The reviewed boundary includes ordered pages, selected ranges, page boxes, rotation, normalized canvases, and unsupported complex-document states. Limit: Signed, encrypted, form-filled, permission-restricted, and other complex PDFs remain outside the safe rewrite boundary. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Audio and video processing enforce source or buffered-output safeguards and reopen completed media to check expected output tracks. Scope: The reviewed behavior covers task-specific local writers, bounded results, cancellation, and completed-track validation. Limit: Codec support, performance, memory, quality, and playback still vary by browser, device, source container, and operation. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Destination validators distinguish missing or invalid rules from measured passes, so incomplete requirements remain visible warnings. Scope: The reviewed behavior covers bytes, pixels, format, missing values, and invalid ranges entered from an external requirement. Limit: The linked official source and destination remain authoritative for changing and non-measurable acceptance requirements. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • A newly available site version waits for an explicit reload choice and warns users to finish or download current local work first. Scope: The reviewed update flow keeps the active page usable until the user deliberately accepts the newly available version. Limit: Refreshing, closing a tab, clearing browser storage, or a browser crash can still discard an undownloaded local result. Reviewed 2026-09-01.
  • Task hubs route a stated need to distinct focused tools without presenting the hub itself as every operation. Scope: The reviewed route records include authored decision examples, valid canonical targets, and visible selection tables. Limit: A selection table explains route ownership; it does not guarantee that a search engine will select the same destination. Reviewed 2026-09-02.
  • Browser utilities describe measurements, permissions, and results as observations from the current session rather than certifications. Scope: The reviewed boundary covers visible timing, input, permission, and device limitations on browser utility routes. Limit: Hardware, scheduling, background state, browser support, and user input can change a result between sessions. Reviewed 2026-09-02.

Authorship identifies the published guide owner

The guide byline identifies Gal Itach, Valorem as the author of the first-party guide content. It identifies who is responsible for this site’s editorial copy; it does not add a credential, license, independent audit, or authority over a third-party platform.

  • Aftermath guides explain the browser-local workflow and its practical limits.
  • They do not replace a destination’s own current rules, a product manual, or professional advice.
  • Claims about a publisher, product, library, browser API, or store remain bounded by the linked source.

Review connects visible copy to observable behaviour

Aftermath product and source review checks that a guide describes the intended local inputs, outputs, result boundaries, and linked sources in ordinary language. The review is designed to keep page text, visible limitations, and structured data aligned; it is not a promise that every file, browser, or external destination will behave the same way.

  • A measured local result is described as evidence for review, not a universal acceptance certificate.
  • External rules are linked to the publisher and retain their recorded review date.
  • Claims explicitly marked unsupported, under review, withdrawn, or inaccessible are held from indexing until corrected. Review age alone does not hide a page.

Sources and promotional references have a withdrawal rule

The public claim registry records each source, its review date, and any known issue. Review intervals are reminders; pages remain available as dates age. Requirements and products can change, so verify the linked official source before relying on a claim. Claims explicitly placed under review, withdrawn, or marked inaccessible remain held from indexing until corrected.

  • The registry does not add ratings, testimonials, pricing, performance results, or product capabilities that are not visibly supported.
  • Valorem links are optional secondary discovery, separate from Aftermath’s task-first tool navigation.
  • Review dates record a project check, not a guarantee that another publisher has not changed since that date.

Corrections are welcome and need source context

To report an inaccurate explanation, requirement, source link, or promotional reference, email contact@aftermath.cc with the affected Aftermath URL, the authoritative source URL, and a short explanation of the correction. Do not send a private file unless you deliberately choose to share it; the local file tools do not need it for a correction report.

Questions people ask

Does the byline mean an outside platform endorses a guide?

No. The byline identifies the first-party author of the guide. Apple, Google, browser vendors, libraries, stores, and other publishers remain responsible for their own documentation and decisions.

What happens when a cited source needs review?

The page stays available when a review date ages. Verify the current linked source before relying on it. A claim explicitly marked under review, withdrawn, or inaccessible stays out of indexing until corrected.
